Betsy and I keep an eye out for new waterfalls when we travel. We usually take one or more of our waterfall books and even notes we have made as a result of internet searches for waterfalls. I guess you could say we like to be prepared.
We planned to spend a couple of days in Hiawassee, Georgia, over Valentine Day this year, and on our way we found ourselves near Blue Ridge, Georgia. Betsy remembered reading something about a waterfall near Blue Ridge, so she got out our book and gave me the directions to Fall Branch Falls.
Fall Branch Falls is off the beaten path, but we got to the trailhead without too much difficulty. The hike itself was fairly short and very pleasant. We got to the viewing platform and had this beautiful waterfall all to ourselves. What a wonderful way to break up a trip.

Hi George, how tall is that one? I guess being a waterfall person too, any falls will pass as lovely. When i can’t see a real one i can do with a very small one, even just a foot will do! haha!

you drove right by my sons house, he is 3 miles from downtown blue ridge, in copperhill, TN. did you see the sign for copperhill?

This looks like a lovely, gentle fall. Some of these big gardens at Biltmore, they remind me of the Red Queen’s gardens in Alice In Wonderland. So hge and abundant and manicured!

I’m so glad you liked my sunset sky the other night. You like the sky so you understand the draw. Those clouds were everywhere and such an amazing red/orange I felt I was surrounded in their light.

I like how it’s curving down the hill with the amount of water running but I also wonder what it would look like with the water covering that whole bottom area.
