What’s That Strange Light in the Sky?

Saturday morning Betsy and I woke up to a strange light in the east.  At first we were confused as to the source of this light, but we finally discovered that it was something called ‘The Sun’!

One reason for our confusion is that we have had six days of rain and overcast skies.  Now don’t get me wrong — we really need the rain and I’m glad it finally came (better late than never)!  But after six days of clouds it was certainly nice to see something else in the sky.

Unfortunately, it didn’t last.  About an hour after taking this picture the clouds were back, and the rains returned after that.  But it was nice to see the sun even briefly.

Is that not amazing to see that gold spot in the sky. It brightens the day. Even if it is and hour. That is enough to recharge the battery a bit. I read you tag I like you had done one. And did not tag others. How wonderful you were in Cleveland Ohio. My youngest brother lives there now. My real day was in Sheffield lake most his adult life before he passed.
I love the area. And to me that would be my Ocean. I just received the things in the mail for a free 2 day cruse. Have you ever take up one of these. I know they may be a gimmick. But I will call to find out more.

Good Morning! Thanks for commenting on my blog this a.m. I am happy to have found your blog. I love this photo but what I especially loved reading was the recent post about your parents. My mother (who recently passed away) was legally blind most of my life. There were many “angels” in her path too that went out of their way to assist her with things most of us take for granted. It’s nice that you acknowledged the gratefulness you feel toward the folks in your parents’ home town. I am glad that your parents are happy and able to enjoy church and the comfort of their own home. We were able to keep Mother at home until her last breath – something that she wanted desperately and I am so very grateful. God bless you and your family especially at Christmas.

It’s the same here in SE Missouri too. The way I look at it is if I have to deal w/ the cold weather & lack of sun (which I’m not really a summer person either) then at least it could snow so there’s something beautiful to look at!!! 🙂

I read your post on Dec 18th – that is sooo sweeet!!! They still look like a happy couple after all these years – that’s GREAT! And I’m so glad to hear that the community has taken them under their wings & try to help in whatever way they can. That’s just awesome!!!

I love watching the sun rise each morning … and on the rainy days over the past couple of weeks, I’m missed it too. You’ve captured this beautifully. I’m posting later than usual today, so I posted a sunset from last week.
    Hugs and blessings,

LOL..We had a bit of sun in between snow storms so I can relate. Our summer near Buffalo NY was so rainy that winter came and I feel I didn’t get enough summer…We have 23 inches of snow since Friday

LOL – strange light is right. Today the light is here, but it sure is cold. Neighbor said 12 when he got up. How is the plateau? The rain is suppose to start back Wed, thru the end of the week. I think I will stay inside today. Hubby went to Rockwood to work on one of the bathrooms.
