Today was a cold but beautiful day here in the Glade. Since the sky was so clear and blue I decided to walk to my favorite spot on the back nine of the golf course in order to view the setting sun.
My camera started to act up about the time I got there, but I did manage to get this picture of our first sunset of 2009.

Speaking of acting up cameras, I just got two new batteries for mine. It was only holding up for half a day before losing charge. The downside, now I am taking more photos, and being less discerning at what I shoot. But that is better than the alternative … especially after a long walk, or seeing a prized view.

I know what you mean about having to be less discerning about a picture you’re trying to shoot. But I must tell you that you get some great ones.

My camera should be okay once the weather warms up — it just doesn’t like the cold (and neither do I!!!)
