Sunset in Fairfield Glade. February 8, 2009.

Earlier this month I took my walk a little later than I usually do and captured the sunset above. I usually view the sunset from the 14th tee of the golf course, but this picture was taken from the first tee. This fairway is not quite as wide as the 14th and it is more level so the trees appear more numerous, but the sky is as glorious as ever.

Golf courses are a good place to see sunsets, with the open fairways … it probably offers good vantages. Plus, at that time, you aren’t interferring with any golfers.

A wonderful sunset photo George. I don’t think they allow anyone to just walk around golf courses here. Wish they would some of the courses are really nice. Hope you have a wonderful Friday.

A beautiful sunset. There is a golf course just a couple of blocks away. I haven’t walked there yet. I have to cross a busy street to get to it.

The soft blending of the colors in the clouds is really beautiful. The last time I got colors like this is was due to smoke from a fire.

Golf courses….I’m jealous! I miss playing golf! And for sure those courses are perfect for sunsets and SkyWatching! Beautiful colours on your picture – and I look forward to use my camera in several golf courses when spring comes! Have a nice weekend – you and Betsy!

A golf course seems like a great place to photos of beautiful sunsets. It fascinates me that although you can shoot from the same place the sky can still look so different.
