This is my post for the My World meme. Last week there were over 120 people sharing their worlds. To see more of our world or to join and share your part of the world, click HERE.
My world became much prettier yesterday, thanks to the beauty in the picture above. This iris — Honey Glazed — is the first iris to bloom in our yard this year.
Last week when we went to my parent’s house near Nashville we admired the iris they had blooming and we it would be at least a week before ours started blooming. I’m glad to say that we didn’t have to wait quite that long.
We’re now looking forward to other iris to follow this one.

OMG iris! Ours in My World are barely 3″ high, our season is a bit behind. Thanks for the foreshadowing!

What a beautiful color on that Iris! I am used to only blue! And I haven’t seen any of them yet….
And yes George; The wind chimes are hanging from the ceiling in the lobby! And the statue below that post, is standing outside the hotel. Funny enough with his back to the magnificent view!

I’ve never seen an Iris for real either. Very interesting shape — it reminds me of orchids, actually. Your garden must be really wonderful now with all kinds of flowers beginning to bloom!

That is so pretty! I would love to have huge iris beds! I drool over the Iris catalog, but know from experience that I’m better off getting local ones. I’ve got a puple one blooming right now and haven’t even gotten a photo yet.

We are finally getting some blooms after temps near 80 over the weekend. Of course it is back in the 40’s now, but the shorts felt right for a while. I do hope that the goose recovers as she suffered for a while with her injuries…

That’s a gorgeous iris. I have a couple blooming now. Wish they lasted longer than they do.
