There’s a hint of autumn in the air here on the Plateau. The leaves on our dogwood tree are getting reader and some of the trees are starting to drop leaves, as you can see in the picture above.
The temperatures are now cooler, which is something the roses like. They are now starting to put on their fall show. Not only are the blossoms pretty (at least we think so), but I can enjoy the fragrance any time I’m in the front yard. Even mowing the lawn yesterday was a pleasant experience!

George: You are so much further along then we are, the mountains must be the difference.

My dogwoods aren’t turning yet.

Beautiful yard you have! The only signs of Fall here in So Cal is that the leaves are turning on the Maple Tree in my neighbor’s yard. Love the roses in your header ;–)
Hugs and blessings,

You’re a good grounds keeper George!
Now what happens when the leaves fall? Will we hear a little grumbeling from you? ha

I think you are a bit ahead of us in the leaves department. You had a most handsome yard! The roses are beautiful.

We’re still enjoying an unseasonably warm September! We don’t have many RED trees here – our colors are green and gold! Love your yard! Lots of tree-trimming going on at your place. Glad Betsy took pics – interesting to see the brave men at work!

Believe it or not, your dogwood is redder than mine! Mine has some on it, but not near as much. It just feels and sounds like fall though. Especially of the evening if I sit outside.

I love roses and that’s really a nice garden. Gee, we’re having summery days here and rainy nights. Kinda weird.
My world entry is up here.

George: you are a credit to yourself, with all the hard work you have put into the flower gardens and around the house.
I just love your wall….
I’ve started to see a hint of fall color in the trees, but we still have new blooms on the Rose of Sharons.
