Cooler temperatures and rain mean that autumn colors are starting to show up here on the Plateau of Tennessee. Our dogwood tree and some of the trees across the street are starting to turn. The picture above was taken after I had mowed and cleaned up fallen leaves. So the grass is green and the roses are still blooming. Autumn couldn’t be much nicer than that!

Right now we aren’t seeing too much of color change. I was just thinking about that earlier this a.m. I can’t wait to see it!

I sort of like the messy look of the fallen leaves, while they are crisp. When they are sodden, not so much!

autumn is being beautiful here too. Since we are having such clear blue skies the night temps are going down. Low 40s only. I love it!!! the trees are turning–mostly the maples with the oranges and reds. but we do stay pretty green all year round too.
