My World: Rutledge Falls

Rutledge Falls, Tullahoma, Tennessee. February 14, 2009.

This is my post for the My World meme.  It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and Fishing Guy.  To learn more about our world or to join and share your part of the world, click HERE.

One advantage of living here on the Plateau is our close proximity to a number of very nice waterfalls.  I’ve mentioned several times that Fall Creek Falls State Park is only about an hour away.

There are several other waterfalls within a couple of hours of our house.  Rutledge Falls, near Tullahoma, Tennessee, is one of those waterfalls.  We visited Rutledge Falls on Valentine’s Day.  The waterfall is on private property, but the owners grant access to the public.

I love the snow! They said on some Toronto (big city) network we can expect our ‘first snow of the season’ tonight. They have not had any, we’ve had a couple of big dumps of snow. sigh…

You know how I love seeing all these beautiful waterfalls, and I’m delighted to report that we finally had ‘falling water’ all day yesterday though it seems to have dried up overnight. It’s WINDY at the moment but more rain is expected on Thursday and through the weekend. I’ve got my fingers crossed 😉
    Hugs and blessings,

Another beautiful waterfall. You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.

Regarding my post: the header is a farm by my house but down in Skagit Valley. That is Mt. Baker in the background. The pics on my post are all on the ranch in Ritzville. Google ‘channelled scablands’ to see the geological history of the area. MB

I’ve always thought it would be great to wade out into a falls and get wet and see from behind one. Probably much better to stay where it is dry 🙂

It sure is nice of the owner to allow access to that waterfall; it is beautiful.
