'X' marks the spot over our house in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.

Betsy and I have always felt that we were led to this house here in the Glade. We fell in love with it from the moment the realtor showed it to us for the first time. The house had everything we had talked about and we made an offer that first day.
Some people have a problem understanding just how special we think this house actually is. But now I have proof. I was in the front yard a couple of weeks ago and saw this celestial ‘X marks the spot’ overhead. I would say that this proves that we do in fact live in a special place.

I had a good visit with my parents yesterday and found them to be about as good as can be expected. They were in good spirits, but it is still sad to see how much they have aged since before Betsy had her knee surgery.

Neat sky pic George! I’m glad to hear your mom/dad were in good spirits. It isn’t easy to see your parents age. I see my mom only a few times a year and each time I can see such a difference.

How very special. I am impressed.
I feel the same about my Mother. I really can see the aging and she knows and I know she must move to a to a retirement community but she will not budge. She says she is not ready yet—but will know when she is. Right!! MB

Well, weren’t you looking at just the right place at the right time! The sky has reserved that property just for you and Betsy. It is a sad thing about your parents. I’m sure if they knew how much angst their kids were feeling, they might get more help. But the need to be independant is so strong.

George, I am glad that you’re parents were okay… You’re one lucky guy because you still have them while me at a very young age don’t have my father anymore 😦
I agree that you live in a very special place. How did that “X marks the spot” got there? But you know what makes your house special? It’s a “HOME” – full of love!

Glad your parents are well. It IS rough seeing our parents age. Brings to mind the line from Wordsworth, “and the child becomes father of the man.”
