The American Falls at Niagara is one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. This picture was taken near the base of the falls. The billowing spray gives some indication of the power of the river going over that fall.

How I would love to be feeling the spray from that falls right now. It would definitely cool me off a bit.

Oh, goodness, I’m so loving this, and what a coincidence!! My son is there right now vacationing with his family. He had wanted to go so bad! They will be posting pictures on their blog Thursday night, as the internet at their cabin is very weak and they can only do text now. They had heard that the best part is on the Canadian side, but unfortunatly can’t go into Canada because of our granddaughter’s passport.

Nice capture, George. We visited Niagara Falls when our children were very young and even they thought the falls were amazing. Thanks for a walk down memory lane, George.

What a fascinating memory we have of the Niagara Falls – we’ve seen both sides!
There is so much to read about it as well and I believe I saw some documentaries about the area as well. Thanks for sharing that terrific photo!

What a fantastic view of the falls with the mist rising in the air, George. I could almost hear the roar of the rushing water as it takes a leap of faith to its place beneath.
