This is my post for Skywatch Friday, a meme for sharing views of the sky from all over the world. To see more, or to join and share your own photos of the sky, click HERE.
I’ve often said that the Glade is pretty just about any time of the year. It’s also pretty just about any time of the day, even in the morning when the skies are overcast. You can see the mountains in the background and the fog in the valley. The sky isn’t a pretty blue, but it will be once the sun burns away all that fog and haze.

I enlarged the photo and saw the sun captured by the trees. It better come out to burn away the fog and haze.

I’ve always like pictures liked this where the mountains are just kind of outlines in the background. Either you or Betsy put up a picture from the Blueridge Parkway that had mountains kind of outlined in the distance and I thought that pictures was so beautiful.

I love the mood of this photo George!
When your page first opened I thought immediately that it reminded me of some famous landscape painter but it’s been far too long since I studied that kind of thing that I can’t give you a name but it evoked some memory in me. 🙂

George, you have so many lovely sky scenes, I do not know how you can select one. This is just another fine example of your work with a camera.

Such a beautiful photo. The composition and shading are really wonderful – almost looks a little abstract. Very nice! You’re right about it being a really pretty place.

Lovely shot. I like mornings like this too. So serene.
BTW: How are your folks doing? I was just over visiting my Mother and she is doing great. She hasn’t sold her home yet but then again I don’t think she wants to. MB

The fog in the distance looks like water and the green grass looks like a golf course. What a pretty scene. I like the time of day you shot this one at. Happy skywatching George!

Not all pretty skies are blue. I like the blush of color here, and it’s so peaceful.
