We’ve had a couple of days of cool, rainy days, and most of the leaves are off the trees in our yard. Of course, that means there are a lot of leaves on the ground, but that’s a job for a drier day.
A maple tree in our front yard was among the last trees to hold onto its leaves. The utility company did a pretty good job of mutilating the tree a couple of years ago, but the surviving branches still held some pretty autumn color.
These pictures were taken about a week ago.

The maple trees are always so pretty in Autumn. Yesterday’s rain knocked a lot of our leaves off too.

The trim trimmers from the utility companies really do a nice job of butchering up the trees, don’t they? Beautiful colors on this tree.

It is amazing what trees can survive!! When you mention the mutilation, I remembered some trees cropped by the hydro people I have seen, and maybe I should go searching for some of them

Very pretty George. My mother-in-law has trees in her yard that never change colors very much. One has most of it’s leaves left on it even today.
