No, not that kind — the good kind!
One disadvantage to doing the driving on a road trip is that it’s easy to miss some of the scenery because you have to keep an eye on the road (and traffic).
Fortunately Betsy has become a very accomplished drive-by shooter with her camera. She took all these pictures as we drove along Petrified Forest Road between Newspaper Rock and The Tepees in the Petrified Forest National Park.
If there was a pullout I could stop, enjoy the scenery, and take some pictures. But pullouts were few and far between, so I’m glad Betsy got these great shots of the scenery.

She did a fine job of getting some good shots. This looks like from another planet almost…sort of amazing at how many different types of land just within the United States.

that’s our situation when we go on a road trip. the hubs drive while i shoot. when he finds something too irresistible to leave to drive by shooting, he’d pull over and he’d shoot the thing himself 🙂

Betsy is quite accomplished 🙂 Great job your sweet Bride did!
So sad that they don’t have a place to pull over…..I can’t imagine being literally surrounded in such beauty and NOT having a place to rest and reflect as well as be in AWE of this magnificent creation taking it all in!
