It’s Football Time in Tennessee

Betsy at Blue Hole Falls, Elizabethton, Tennessee. February 14, 2008.

(Note:  All pictures may be enlarged by clicking on them once or twice.)

Betsy bleeds orange every football season.  She’s a very dedicated Tennessee Vol fan.

This has been a difficult season for Betsy.  The Vols are a very young team playing a very hard schedule.  One of the bright spots for the team has been their talented young quarterback, but he got hurt and will be out for several weeks.

Hopefully Betsy will get through the rest of the season without too much heartburn.

This picture was taken on Valentine Day, 2008, while we were visiting waterfalls in northeastern Tennessee.

My life would surely be easier if I liked sports.

  2. diane Says:

Go the Orange (That is my team’s colour too. (She’s cute)

  3. Maple Lane Says:

Love the picture of Betsy. That’s too bad about the quarterback being injured. Not too long ago, we saw a bright orange truck with a specialty license plate for your team. You and Betsy would surely be #1 fans in a truck like that one!

  4. Sandra Says:

so now Betsy fits in with all the Fall Colors you have been posting, if she sat in her header photo she would be totally camouflaged.

Great shot and Betsy looks wonderful and she does indeed fit in with the Fall colors! I do hope her “team” does well this year and besides, how fortunate she is to have you by her side — good season or bad! Enjoy your day and I hope you both have a great weekend, George!

That’s an adorable photo. I sort of “bleed orange” at football time every year, too. In my case, it’s for the U of Texas, though. And they’re not having a very good season either. So I can definitely sympathize with Betsy!

  9. Rose Says:

We are sort of in the same boat…but not quite. Our Colts are missing Peyton cause he is on the injured list as I am sure you have heard. We have not won a single game…who would think one guy would make that much difference.

  10. NCMountainwoman Says:

We bleed Carolina Blue around here. When the Packers are playing we switch to green and gold.

  11. Happyone Says:

Oh what a lovely image of Betsy. Thanks for sharing.

I understand how to be emotionally involved with one’s sports team. I was a lunatic with the SF Giants, baseball, last year 🙂
