Cades Cove is one of the most popular parts of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. The cove is a valley dotted with homesteads, churches, fields and woods. It was turned into a living museum after the establishment of the park in the 1930s. This picture was taken from Rich Mountain road leading out to Cades Cove. If you look carefully you can see part of the loop road that takes visitors through the cove.

I always enjoy your photos and particularly from the Great Smoky Mountains. One of the areas in the US that I’ve never been to is in your part of the country and I’ve always wanted to. The mountains are so beautiful!! But the next best thing to being there is your photos! Thanks for sharing the beauty to both you and Betsy! I always take great delight in your photos! Have a great week, George!

I don’t know if I’ve ever ridden around the cove without thinking I wish I owned it all from mountain top to mountain top.

I’ve always wanted to see this part of the country and when I do I’d map out my itinerary based on your posts.

A trip to the Smokies wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t do Cades Cove. I haven’t been in a few years and if Hubby doesn’t take me this summer I may have to go by myself! 🙂
