Our iris usually begin blooming during the latter part of April, but they have been much earlier this year. Hell’s Fire, the iris above, bloomed on March 31.
Autumn Bugler followed on April 2. It gets its name from the fact that it will bloom again this fall. It’s nice to have it bloom more than one time each year.
When we got back home from North Carolina on April 5 we found two more iris in bloom. Floor Show is another iris that will bloom for a second time later in the year.
The other iris we found blooming was Honey Glazed. It’s one we’ve had for the longest time since we moved here, and we can always count on getting many beautiful blossoms from it.

George. Your horticultural love and ability to produce such a fine array of flowers in your garden is amazing. The BCC needs someone like you and Betsy to take over. The CEO position for this is good “bucks” and bonuses. And thankfully you would not have an Ibis problem, they don’t like flowers!
Really was most impressed with azure beauty of your post on Fort Louis in Marigot, St. Martin when you did that cruise.
That sea would have had me in it so fast, even the sharks would not have been able to catch up and I do believe Great Whites do frequent that area – too bad, I would be like a slippery eel, the sharks would have had no hope.
Great photos, stand up and take a bow.
Cheers
Colin ( the slippery eel of St. Martin)

all the names are appropriate, but still wondering where the hells fire came from.

The Autumn Bugler and Floor Show are my favorites today George, so beautiful!!! Did you and Betsy do this by accident or did you co-ordinate your blogs today?
