This is another post on the roses in our yard. The previous posts can be found by clicking on the tag ‘Roses’ below.
We’ve only had Summer of Love in our garden for a couple of years, but we really like the colors in the blossoms of this rose as they open. The colors seem to change each day.
This bright and sunny rose, Sundance, has graced our yard for several years.
The lavender/purple color of Sweetness is somewhat unusual. Sweetness is another of our container roses. It has a nice fragrance to go with its beautiful form.
Betsy really likes red roses, and Veterans’ Honor is one of her favorites. This rose doesn’t have a lot of fragrance, but it grows fairly tall and is usually loaded with blossoms. It’s not unusual to see 10 – 15 beautiful blossoms at one time.
Welcome Home is in our newest flower bed near the road. This cheery rose greets us as we turn into the driveway, and it provides a very welcome home indeed.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a purple rose in real life!

I love that Welcome Home…I am not sure which color is my favorite but it would be between red and yellow roses…..I think. At least that is what I would say most of the time…but some of the pink shots Betsy showed today sure were beautiful.

Each one is a winner. You certainly know how to coax those roses into providing you and Betsy with beauty.

Summer Of Love looks like a pretty lady really loved it and got lipstick all over it from kissing it. Betsy, perhaps? The purple rose is WILD, it is very strange looking to me. My favorite has to be the lovely last one, I adore it!!! And I always say, there’s no place like home!

Good heavens! How many different colours do you have?
They are magnificent. Oh dear! They would look so lovely on my railway station “dilapidated” garden plots. Of course, they would have to be fenced in for PROTECTION!
I’ll have a “little” chat this morning to the dreary looking 4 remaining bushes and tell them to “brush” themselves up.
Pity I can’t show them these – might make them brighten themselves up and just TRY to look like the roses of Tennessee! ha ha!
Cheers
Colin

Stunning light in the last shot George!
A beautiful ‘bouquet’ of your roses.
My hubby never promised me a rose garden (he isn’t a gardener) but when he came home from an appointment today he surprised me with a half dozen red roses. 🙂
