This is the ninth post on the roses in our yard. The previous posts can be found by clicking on the tag ‘Roses’ below.
Peppermint Splash is one of Betsy’s favorite roses. It definitely has one of our more unusual blossoms. Betsy says it reminds her of peppermint stick candy, which probably accounts for its name.
There probably isn’t such a thing as a perfect rose, but it’s hard to beat the colors of Perfect Moment.
Pink Promise does a good job of living up to its name. It produces many of these beautiful pink blossoms throughout the season.
Radiant Perfume has both a delightful fragrance and a brilliant color. It’s a bright spot in our garden each time it blooms.
Sheer Magic is a beautiful bicolor with a very pleasant fragrance. We enjoy the soft pastel colors as much as we do the fragrance.

Peppermint Splash does indeed look like peppermint! I think my favorite is the Pink Promise, I’m partial to pink.

George & Betsy ( Gotta include the other half, even if she may
give the instructions – ha ha)
I think your gardens are the equal to what I just saw on Betsy’s blog:
“Biltmore House and Gardens in Asheville, North Carolina”
Your gardens and the magnificent roses are such a credit to you both in your dedication for beautification in your area. The neighbours must be in awe!
You should have been a horticulturalist. How you know all the names of these magnificent roses just ‘gobsmacks’ me. I think
if naming a favourite and this is going right down to the wire, I might have to agree with Ms. A.
It is no wonder that Betsy has a fit every time a deer approaches.
Such a pity ( ha ha) that the deer don’t just enjoy the perfume and fragrance and don’t have to do the nibbling bit!
Cheers

When I was a child my mother had a rose almost like the top one. I have always loved that rose…now I need to get one for myself.
