On our second day in Rocky Mountain National Park Betsy and I visited parts of the park we hadn’t visited before. It was a wonderful day, although we went from bright sunny skies, to clouds, to rain and even to some sleet and snow. On our way over the mountains the clouds were so low we felt we could reach out and touch them. Near the top of the mountain we came upon this scene with sunbeams showing through the clouds.

What a stunning picture! We saw similar skies when we were there, but I didn’t get a photo like this! Soon, though, we were in fog and sleet and snow; and it wasn’t so pretty anymore. 🙂

That ia a dramatic sky and I wouldn’t like to be there then. We are such sooks when it comes to cold weather. We changed our minds about going into the Snowy Mts because it was raining, sleeting, snowing and had clouds like that. We turned towards the north west where the sun was shining but it wasn’t much warmer.
