We have had some cold weather over the past few days, so winter is not quite ready to leave us. But there are a couple of hopeful signs. I noticed a couple of days ago that our crocus has begun to bloom.
The pictures aren’t very good, but the blossoms do promise that Spring will soon be here.

These crocus were a gift from my Dad when we bought our house. Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. February 24, 2013.
Yesterday, these crocus, given to us by my Dad when we bought this house, gave us another hint of the promise of Spring.

Spring can’t be far away when the crocuses bloom. We’re expecting a winter storm to hit here tomorrow, though. Love that third picture.

Those first few blossoms are so welcome. The fact that you got these from your Dad is extra special.

We often get crocuses like that in autumn (fall) – but summer’s still hanging on, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer. sigh.

They look like they are saying, “Peek -a-boo! Here I come it’s nearly spring.”

What lovely captures of the crocuses, and of course, the sentimental value is priceless.
Thanks for the visit. That white barn was taken in Cookeville, TN, a few years back.
There aren’t too many barns in SoCA, but when I see one, I take it.
