Betsy and I enjoyed our stay in Cosby last weekend. We had some rain while we were there, but not enough to keep us from hiking and exploring a part of the Smokies we haven’t visited as often as we have this side of the park. The rain had the advantage of keeping the water flows relatively high, which we thoroughly enjoy.
The picture above, which can be enlarged, was taken in the Greenbrier section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We drove along the Little Pigeon River and stopped to enjoy this view of the water rushing over the boulders in the stream.

Will you be going back in late April when all the wildflowers are blooming? It is gorgeous then too. Heck, when is the park not gorgeous. Between yours and Betsy’s post of your trip it sounds like the rain didn’t slow you down at all.

George, this is a lovely shot!! I agree with the others, that I could watch it for hours, and listen!
I was telling people at work yesterday about collecting waterfalls. Some had a hard time believing me, but the boss told us about a client who “collected” trains. He went to South Africa just to ride the steam train and the Blue Train. So you and Betsy just need to travel further afield!
