Yesterday Betsy and I went to Hendersonville to check on my parents. I’m happy to say that they both seemed to be in good health and good spirits.
While we were at their house we noticed that all their tulips are gone and that they now have iris in bloom. Our tulips are definitely past their prime, but it will be a week or more before we have any iris.
We were fortunate enough to have several varieties of tulips bloom this year. The collage above shows some of the beauties we’ve enjoyed this spring. The collage above can be enlarged if you so desire.

Wonderful! I love tulips but never remember to stick some in the ground in the fall. I did this year and have 3-4 that came up. You really have some lovely varieties. The work you and Betsy do on your garden is so evident in the beautiful flowers and trees you have.

Such beautiful flowers! I haven’t noticed any tulips around here yet. But the daffodils are gone, so I’m hoping for tulips and azaleas pretty soon!

What a beautiful collage George! I just bought some tulips last night to provide a splash of color on our table. The real reason was that I wanted to photograph them. 🙂

Lovely collage of tulips! That’s one flower I can’t grow here in So Cal because it doesn’t get cold enough.
Hugs and blessings,

You’ve had many wonderful types of tulips brightening your spring. I do love tulips so very much. Funny to theink that yours are already done for the year and ours are soon about top start, but such is the climate of our world. It is wonderful collage you have made of your own flowers and I can well understand how you enjoyed them.

Very pretty tulips & I’m glad your parents are doing well – My sister’s husband’s grandfather is in the hospital due to a stroke & they had to amputate one of his legs. He can’t swallow, so they have a feeding tube in his nose & they said if he doesn’t get to where he can swallow soon, they’ll have to put the feeding tube in his stomach. It’s so sad! He just isn’t doing good. God bless him & you & your family too! Take care!

I love to look at tulips, but don’t seem to have any luck getting them return after the first year. Gave up on tulips several houses ago. You have some beautiful ones, and a nice collage of them.
