The picture above was taken last Saturday (July 11) at Mountain Air, North Carolina. The mountains under the clouds are the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi.

What a lovely view … almost makes me want to take a drive to the mountains around here though it’s HOT today and Southern California’s Coastal Range doesn’t look a bit like your Blue Ridge Mts. … especially in summertime after a drought like the one we’re in. Thanks for sharing.
