If you were to ask Betsy what was wrong with the picture above, she would have a very succinct answer: THERE’S NO SNOW! In spite of heavy snows north and east of us, we have only had a dusting or two. It’s officially winter and the temperatures have been low, but the grass is still relatively green. The roses have been cut back and covered, but not all of them have gone dormant yet.
What’s worse, there’s no snow on the mountains we can see from the road in front of the house. They look as bleak and bare as they have since the trees lost all their leaves.
The only white to be seen is in the clouds scurrying across the beautiful blue winter sky.

LOL George you can have some of the snow we are getting. We are supposed to get more snow tonight. About 3 inches. Haven’t gotten rid of the snow from Christmas Eve yet. Hope you all get some snow to enjoy.

George, you can have all you want of the snow here – we will be getting another deposit sometime in the next week! But that is part of living in Ottawa!
So glad you all had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you well in the coming year, as well!!

Maybe ya’ll will get some before long. My brother lives in Tulsa, OK. They had about 8 and more on the way. Personally, I don’t want to see that much.

Is there usually snow by now in your neck of the woods? We had a very light dusting of snow Christmas morning, but only in town, there was only flurries at my parent’s farm just north of town.

Hmmm … ya know MY World is not white either … EVER and it’s only rarely that we can see snow on the mountaintops in the distance on a clear day. Even so … methinks your world is lovely!
Hugs and blessings,

We had some chilly weather here mid December and we got snow flurries here in the bay. My backyard was white, could you believe that?
Happy New Year.

Well it isn’t white out here except for the taller mts. Oh there is a little crusty stuff in the shaded corners but not the good snow. I always feel that after Christmas and the new year rings in it should be spring anyway. Only 2 1/2 monthes to go. LOL MB
