In March of this year, during our trip to Arkansas, Betsy and I visited Little Missouri Falls. The falls is really more of a cascade than a true waterfall, but it is still a pretty sight.
To get to Little Missouri Falls we had to drive through campground at the Albert Pike Recreation Area. This was this campground that was devastated by the flood last weekend, killing 20 campers. This is a reminder that our watery world can be dangerous as well as beautiful.

Boy, that sure is a tragedy at the campground. I pray for those people.
The falls are beautiful whether they are big or small. Last Saturday when I was at the Upper Skagit River I took pics of a similar cascade. Truly pretty. MB

It is amazing how a peaceful area/place can turn into such a tragic one.

How quick and devastating this recent tragedy was is just unbelievable to me! May God help those who lost loved ones and property deal comfort them in their sorrow and loss. Such a pretty little place!
Loved your lily photo yesterday! Gorgeous! So glad you are not allergic to them. We have one staff at work who was sent to Emergency when someone brought an Easter Lily to their mom! She had allergies to other stuff, but this was a new reaction. Very scary!

I feel so sorry about what happened to the campers. WE should take good care when doing trips and camps like that because life is so uncertain.
Thanks for sharing the picture!

That is tragic and to think it happened in such a peaceful and beautiful spot.

This looks so peaceful. It is hard to imagine a small river becoming a devastating force.

Such a pretty photo. Amazing how dangerous the water can become so quickly. My prayers are with those who suffered loss.

George: Now that is a little falls compared to some of your big drops. It is a neat falls all the same.

This is very nice, not quite a waterfall. Is a cascade a rel name for something like this? It’s appropriate.

Should I ask why Little Missouri Falls is in Arkansas and not Missouri?? Beautiful whatever state it is in 🙂 I’d like to be sitting in a falls right now in this hot weather.
