The picture above shows why Betsy is very happy today. We got about four inches of snow early Monday, and Betsy is just delighted. Of course, she doesn’t have to clear the driveway, but I digress.
The storm had been predicted for several days, but Betsy was skeptical that we would get any snow at all. However, when we woke up Monday morning, this was what we saw in the front yard.
They say we will have snow and/or freezing rain for the next couple of days. Someone in the family is looking forward to the possibility of snow. Personally, I’m looking forward to Spring.

I kinda have to agree with you. One snowfall is enough and then I want spring. We got a light dusting yesterday and now we are just supposed to have frigid temps.

Pretty photos George. I’m afraid this snow/ice might be around longer than the last and like you, I’m ready for Spring!

I love the shot that is all white but with the red of the stars and stripes. Give Betsy the shovel next time.

Snow can be beautiful, it can also be a pain in the whatever! Having raised my family in Montana, I know about LOTS of snow. I have to admit though that I loved it, too, but when it is as common as it is there it isn’t as much of a problem. When we had six inches here in Seattle and it hung around for nearly a month, the city all but came to a standstill because it simply doesn’t know how to deal with it. My son, Adam, was the only one anywhere near us that shoveled the sidewalks and driveway, porch, deck etc. every morning. The streets were a nightmare, the bus system all but shut down. So, I’ll definitely be happy to do without snow in Seattle!! Have a great week! Stay warm!

I’m with you on Spring coming. The snow is beautiful to look at but I get tired of dealing with it constantly.

At least ONE of you is happy. 😉
I hope you don’t have to travel for a few days.
Stay warm.

That is kinda what my world looks like just now! Today was just as cold as yesterday (-20C), but the wind has died down, so we were able to go for a much longer walk.

We only received a dusting- thanks so much for taking the lions share! Tell Betsey to enjoy the snow—for both of us.

Wonderful shots of snow filled winter.

The weather reports here are similar — although so far, everything has pretty much missed us and we’ve only had a few dustings. We’ll see. And I’m surprised that Betsy doesn’t help you shovel! 🙂

I’m with you, George!

Hello Again George, I left a post on your other blog, Photos by a Senior Hiker (thanks for the post on our blog also). I will be looking through some of your earlier posts on both blogs. Here on the VA eastern shore we missed this blast of winter, but got it on CHristmas Day when we had 16-inches a rarity here. We’re transplanted from NJ so we actually look forward to snow – unlike most folks in these parts.

i’m with you, George. the snow is pretty and makes for good picture taking (especially with your wall) but i like to be able to go outside when we need to! We were supposed to get several inches by now, but nothing! Yes!!

You got snow. It is pretty, but be careful about the ice underneath.

Snow is very nice to take pictures of or to admire while sitting inside next to a nice roaring fire. But i am done with it and say this as it is snowing outside right now.
BTW–I too all those road pict as I was driving—thank goodness for divided highways and not much traffic. LOL
It is always nice to get home. MB
