I must confess that I love tall ships and consider them very beautiful and thus scenic. This is the schooner Alliance, which sails out of Yorktown, Virginia, from April thru October of each year. The Alliance is a 105-foot three-masted schooner and offers 2-hour river cruises during the season.
We weren’t able to take a cruise on the Alliance when we were in Yorktown, but I think the possibility of a cruise is a great reason for going back.

Beautiful the way the sails are up and moving along – smooth sailing! Have never been on a sail boat. Looks like I would really love to take a 2 hr. cruise!

I love them! I love boats, I love to sail! This is delightful! What a lovely way to drift off to sleep this evening, George! Thanks!

I love seeing tall ships too, with their masts unfurled.

once a tall ship docked in Savannah and we went aboard, it was really amazing to see all they have on them and more space than they look like. this one is beautiful, i love to see all the sails up

I haven’t ever been on a “sail” boat nor have I been on a cruise but would LOVE the opportunity to do either one! Sailing has always appeared to be so peaceful but with alot of work involved which I think would only make it that much more enjoyable…experiencing the “fruits of your labor” LOL

That’s a very nice picture and you captured it well. I’ve never had the opportunity to take a picture like that.

Well, that’s another cruise I wouldn’t mind going on… never been on one of those, either (a cruise ship, either) but it sure would be fun!!! =)

I love the tall ships. 2 are based here in the NW and we see them every year. Magnificent—specially with the sails up. MB

I would love to go on a ship like this…just find it amazing that that is all that used to sail on the ocean. I think I would have been a coward and never ventured from home
