This is my post for Skywatch Friday, a meme for sharing views of the sky from all over the world. To see more, or to join and share your own photos of the sky, click HERE.
Although we’ve had a fair amount of snow this year (but not enough for Betsy), the skies have been dreary and gray. So I went to my archives to get this picture taken from our deck of a new snow under a blue Tennessee sky.

Blue skies are a welcome sight after all the dreary weather recently. Enjoy your weekend George.

Snow is always a lot brighter than the grey skies we are having here at the moment. One piece of comfort is that the days are getting longer! Thanks for your comment.

C’mon George….I’ve seen enough snow. 🙂 Seriously, that is a beautiful picture. I’ve always loved snow PICTURES.

Snow looks so pretty with the blue sky as the background. You can have the snow and I will take the blue sky. MB

I would feel much, much better if all our snow came with a sunshine filled day like your photo! Don’t mind the snow or the cold that much, but do not like gloomy overcast days! Thanks for this lovely photo George!

Oh, yes! Lovely blue skies! Such a gorgeous capture, George! Although we haven’t had but very little snow and our temps are certainly not as low as yours, I think that the gray, gloomy skies have really gotten to nearly everyone here in the northwest! I’d rather have snow and blue skies than just grim and gray! But the days are getting longer, bit by bit. Hooray! Hope you have a great week!!

I cannot believe Betsy wants more snow. You could have come DOWN HERE today and made a current shot. We have plenty. I have been snow bound all week. I am going mad.

quite lovely!! The deck railing really sets it off. It gives it a border-like Effect and decorates it.

Oh…that’s really gorgeous George! Perfect combination of nature, lighting, and coloring…stay warm!

That was a lovely view from your deck! Nice. I had to giggle at your last post when you put, “The Best Part” on the wedding kiss photo…such a man!

I just admired your summer landscape shot and even though I’m ready to say goodbye to the snow I LOVE this photo! What a gorgeous winter scene. The blue sky sets off the new fallen snow beautifully.

Your snow looks beautiful George.

We had blue skies for the past couple of days….but guess what? We have at least 3, if not 4 inches of new snow. And it is beautiful…even if I am weary of the ice, the snow is gorgeous.

Blue and white are a nice combination. Looks lovely in your picture. We enjoyed two days of sunshine, Thursday and Friday. We’re back to gray.

This is very pretty, George! We’ve had the same combination you mentioned….snow and drab skies. I haven’t done Skywatch for awhile because the skies are so boring I forget to take any photos. Looking forward to spring!

My mind is resting when seeing this wintry beautiful landscape. Somehow it resembles my country.
