On our Thanksgiving Week getaway Betsy and I drove part of the way on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. We were near Linville Falls about the time we needed to stop and stretch our legs. We had visited Linville Falls back in 2004, but haven’t been back since then.
My sweet bride couldn’t do any hiking, but she said she would remain in the car while I took a quick hike to Erwin’s View. which was a trail we didn’t hike when we were there before. The overlook was half a mile from the parking area and offered the wonderful view of Upper Linville Falls shown above.

So pretty when enlarged. Bad luck Betsy wasn’t strong enough to join you. I hope she is still improving.

You and Betsy are the most amazing people I have met. You certainly are growing old Gracefully.
May be you will take Betsy to China and note the changes.

Very nice! I’ll bet that was difficult on Betty….knowing there was a waterfall and she couldn’t go see it. However, I am glad she was a good girl and didn’t overdo it.

I know Betsy was not happy she had to wait in the car while you viewed all this beauty.

You should put together a photographic catalog of all the beautiful waterfalls in your area! I hope Betsy is back on her feet again! Enjoy the onset of winter.

You live in a fortunate park of the country, George. Did a quick scroll through earlier posts and like the way you take camera in hand to record your surroundings. This photo just says cool November in the mountains–lovely.

Hello George, I’ve known you a long time ago via Betsy’s, but I haven’t been here often, been to your other blogs few times. It’s amazing how you and Betsy differ in angle shots and photos you post, when most of the time you are beside each other, LOL. Do you have the bigger photo of that falls, how tall is that?

I’m sorry to hear Betsy missed this one but she has a terrific photographer to record things for her. 🙂
A lovely scene!

Oh how beautiful and calming this waterfall is! I can only imagine how Betsy hated to miss it! I am proud of her for not over doing it though! I would have had a hard time leaving the serenity of this one… Great pic George!!
