Watery Wednesday: Rutledge Falls

Rutledge Falls, Tullahoma, Tennessee. January 19, 2012.

This is my post for Watery Wednesday.  To see more of our beautiful watery world, or to join and post your own pictures to share, click HERE.

After visiting Dad last week in Tullahoma, Betsy and I decided to swing by Rutledge Falls on our way home.  We had been there a couple of years ago, but thought since we’ve had a pretty wet year that there might be more water this time.  We were right.

Rutledge Falls is on private property, but the owners have made it accessible to the public.  We are thankful that they are willing to share this beauty with us.

As I told you before, I am envious of your beautiful waterfalls! We have none of them in this flat country. Your photo expresses a lot of power! Thank you! Have a great week together with Betsy, George! Thanks for your visit and comment.

Yes, i think i’ve read Rutlege in either yours or Betsy’s, but still i love to see it again. I love the wide falls and the slight cascade. How i wish there are more falls nearby, or have more time to be near them.

Didn’t need you caption to know that this was a winter shot–it looks cold. Amazing how the falls break at such regular intervals–like over steps. I scrolled down to previous posts and was tickled to see that you’d visited Kentucky. I grew up in that part of the state. Did your stay at the Natural Bridge State lodge?
