SkyWatch Friday: Arkansas Sunset

Sunset from Mt. Nebo, Arkansas. February 27, 2012.

This is my post for Skywatch Friday, a meme for sharing views of the sky from all over the world.  To see more, or to join and share your own photos of the sky, click HERE.

This is the scene Betsy and I enjoyed on our first evening on Mt. Nebo in Arkansas.  We were on the back porch of ‘our’ cabin as we were treated to a spectacular sunset.  The color in the sky was simply amazing.

That’s lovely! There’s an oblong halo of reflection above it that’s more pronounced when it’s enlarged.

    George, mate.
I am following the orders ( of you know who?), have a great day and you absolutely amaze me, as does ( the better half???), fitness fanatics. Incredible how the two of you keep so agile and FIT!
Now there are waterfalls and trekking trails in Australia and Delta does fly daily out of Atanta. One stop – LAX – and you will arrive at a decent hour in Sydney. Atlanta being the closest point of departure from Crossville, TN.
As a matter of interest there is more water here than we like – floods!
So much for my promotion effort, just have a “bloody” fantastic day, mate!
    Cheers
    Colin
