Betsy and the lilies. Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. June 14, 2009.
As most of you know, Betsy and I grow roses, but we also have lilies as well. As you can see in the picture above, the lilies are now in bloom. I couldn’t resist getting this picture of Betsy looking up at one of them.
I must admit that I cheated just a little with this picture. The lily is in a raised flower bed and Betsy is on a walkway beside the flower bed. The lily plant is really only about five feet tall. But if you look in the upper right-hand corner you’ll see part of a lily that is even taller. The white lily is just under six feet tall.
But regardless of the height of the lilies we think they both look good and have a wonderful fragrance.

LOL George that Lily plant is the same height as me. When I was out at the Tulsa Rose Garden a few weeks ago I had a hard time taking pictures of some of the roses because they were so tall. Betsy and the lilies are very pretty. 😉

Great shot! Betsy must be a wee little thing….just kidding. I’m short, but I don’t think I’ve ever look upward at a lily…but you might have some that I would.

Not sure if Betsy looks shorter, or the lily looks tall. Actually Betsy is taller than I had her pictured. Maybe it is just because you make her appear to be short.

These ARE some tall lilies! Miracle Grow or is Betsy really kneeling? Just joking.
I think it is very nice that you both love to grow flowers..my hubby will help me plant them but the weeding, feeding, pampering is all mine! 😉
