Sunrise at Ormond Beach, Florida. August 6, 2009.
No, the picture above was not taken in Oklahoma, but in Ormond Beach, Florida. It was the day after Betsy’s birthday and we would be heading home later in the day. But when this morning picture was taken we were able to enjoy the start of a new day as the sun came up over the Atlantic.

WOW… what an amazing sky. Just look at those colors!
The streaks in the clouds that pull down into the horizon is just incredible.

George that is so pretty. I don’t know what is more peaceful, the mountains or the beach. If I had to pick which one to live at, I’m not sure which it would be.

Oh so beautiful. It seems funny to see ‘the sun come up over the Atlantic Ocean’ her the sun comes up over the mountains and goes down into the Pacific Ocean. It seems so backwards. LOL

Beautiful sky.
I lived in Ormand Beach, Florida for a few months. When I retired from my job in Las Vegas, NV, we bought a travel trailer and lived in that for a year traveling all over. We stayed right by the beach for 2 months in Ormand beach. It was cold and rainy the whole time we were there, but I do love the ocean.

What a beautiful sky….it may have just missed Betsy’s birthday, but what a present any day of the week! I’ve gotten so far behind on blogs and am enjoying this leisurely catching up 🙂
