This is my post for Skywatch Friday, a meme for sharing views of the sky from all over the world. To see more, or to join and share your own photos of the sky, click HERE.
This past Sunday was absolutely beautiful here on the Plateau. The temperatures were fairly cool, we had gotten some rain on Saturday, and the sky was a gorgeous blue.
When I lived in North Carolina we said this color of sky was Carolina Blue, but I’m not sure if I should use that description here in Tennessee. On the other hand orange is the color of the University of Tennessee, so perhaps there wouldn’t be a problem.
Every once in a while a small cloud will sail across Sunday’s blue sky.
But most of the time we just enjoyed that brilliant blue above the trees.

That’s really blue sky! Definitely competition for our California blue skies! Love the lone, white clouds passing by. They look so happy! Enjoy SWF and the weekend.

Ooooooo, love the blue with just a cottonball of cloud going about looking for some friends to play with! Today is a blue sky here, after a week of misty, cool cloud cover.

Looks a little like the blue sky of Texas, too! Glad you’ve had some nice weather – ours here in Virginia has been sort of mixed lately, and our skies are definitely not that blue. Gorgeous sky shots!

Sorry I’m so late getting by! Your skies are gorgeous! I have to admit I’m a little envious, George — we had fog so thick I couldn’t see the sky at all! Have a wonderful weekend with lots of sunshine!

Those are beautiful blue skies you have in the Glades, George. I’m glad to hear you had some rain to water your gorgeous gardens.
Have a blessed weekend 🙂

“Brilliant” is a perfect way to describe that blue! Puts me in mine of the theme from a show I watched way back when. Do you remember the song, “The Bluest Skies I’ve Ever Seen Are In Seattle”?

I love it when the skies are that brilliant blue…seems like that mostly happens in the fall and some in the spring.
