Scenic Sunday #114: The Mountains

Although Betsy and I go to the beach each year, we really like the mountains. I guess that’s a good thing since we live in eastern Tennessee. The mountains in the picture above are in western North Carolina. This picture was taken in July near Burnsville, North Carolina.

That’s a pretty view George. I had not thought about it in years, but Burnsville was home to my mom’s best friend! Hope you have a great week.

As far as the eye can see – beauty!! These mountains are so different from our Rockies and its foothills. “I lift my eyes to the hills.” Thanks!

I think we are so lucky to live in the States…we have so many different types of land/terrain and we are free to enjoy it all.

When I am at the ocean I never can get enough of the ocean. When I am in the mountains I never can get enough of the mountains. I think I need to live some place where I can look at the ocean in one direction and the mountains in another direction 🙂
