We celebrated Betsy’s birthday last year by going to Ormond Beach, Florida. We had a room that overlooked the ocean and got up early on the day of Betsy’s birthday to see the sunrise. The sea was calm, and just before the sun popped out of the clouds offshore, the water took on a golden sheen.
All in all it was a great start to a special day for my special girl.

Did you have to wake Betsy, or was she up by herself.It was beautiful and worthed waking up for.
Once, when I was 12, my older sis and bro planned a mid night feast. When they woke me at 12 midnight, I won’t wake up. I didn’t want any mid night feast. But eventually I did, and I am glad I did. A good story to share with my grandchildren (when they come along)

ormond beach is our most favorite place in the world and if the bottom had not dropped out of real estate we would be resideing there. our retirement plans included moving there, we waited 2 years to long. i love sunrise on that beach. for 25 years we stayed on that beach in May and Oct. thanks for the memories

Beautiful! We have a connection to Ormond Beach, too! When youngest child had an internship at NASCAR in Daytona, we rented a condo for her in OB — on Kathy Drive and A1A! We really liked the community there and work was just a short drive away for her.
