Last week Betsy and I spent several days at our favorite cabin on Mount Nebo State Park in Arkansas. Mount Nebo is a flat-topped mountain, and ‘our’ cabn sits near the rim on the southwest side of the mountain. We have a marvelous view of the valley below, as can be seen from the picture above.

It is the most beautiful place. We have a Mt Nebo just outside Brisbane but I doubt the views are so good.

When I saw “Mt. Nebo,” I immediately thought of southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where there is a little settlement with that name. Yours, however, is in Arkansas!

Like I told Betsy, that is a gorgeous place and I would love to go there. Hopefully that can be arranged sometimes. Have you ever been there in the fall when the leaves are changing?

No, we’ve never been there for autumn color. We talked about doing that on our way home, but we haven’t done anything to do it.
