Park Avenue, Arches National Park, Utah. June 23, 2011.
Park Avenue. No, not the one in New York — the one in Arches National Park in Utah. Park Avenue is one of the trails in Arches that we hiked during our June, 2011, visit. The trail got the name ‘Park Avenue’ because the rock formations resembled skyscrapers.

We got to the trail head in the morning before too many others were around. It was a nice hike through the canyon, which we finished before the day got too hot.

Some of these look like people-giants. I bet in twilight the silhouettes would be interesting.

Are these the rocky mountains housing the library of the Mormons? Great color for rocks. By the way, i got a big laugh when you referred to my pet as midget, haha, i forget that term as an adjective to it. If only i remembered, i would have used that word in the post.

Those are spectacular colors George, even if i’ve seen them in many photos, it seems more beautiful when the photographer is more familiar.
